Mission Statement

The Jacksonville Humane Society provides care, comfort and compassion to animals in need while engaging the hearts, hands and minds of our community to bring about an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals.

Bonnie is a special girl in need of a very special home. Two-years-old, Bonnie has been at JHS since April 2014 when she arrived with a broken pelvis.  Her bones have healed and she moves with ease, but she still needs special attention and diet.  She loves to be petted and scratched behind the ears.  Bonnie is very friendly, and would love to be part of your family.

JHS is entered in the Saving Pets Challenge! It is a fundraising campaign launched by Michelson Found Animals.  To give back, Michelson Found Animals will be donating $100,000 to organizations focused on saving animal lives in our communities, through contests within the Challenge.  JHS is raising awareness and money for the JHS Medical Fund.   Please donate, and help spread the word.
