Mutt March Event Info

Location & Parking

How long is the walk?  There are 2 options, the longest being under 1 mile. Click here to view the route.

Where is Mutt March? Mutt March is held at the Jacksonville Landing on Hogan Street. The physical address is 2 West Independent Drive, Jacksonville FL 32202.

Where can I park? Parking is available downtown – any metered spaces are free on the weekends. There is also a paid parking lot adjacent to The Landing.

 

Registration

How to I register? You can register online by clicking here or in person at our administration offices, 1813 Foster Drive, Jacksonville FL 32216.

When does registration close? Online registration closes at 5 p.m. the Thursday before the event.

Can I register at the event? Yes, you can register as an individual at the event for $30. Team registration is not available at the event.

I registered early. Do I have to check-in? If you registered early, please go to registration to check-in. You will receive your wag bag and if eligible, your tshirt. Anyone who is eligible for VIP can receive their VIP ID at registration.

Can I pick up my wag bag and tshirt early to skip the lines at registration? Yes, you can pick them up from our administrative offices beginning Wednesday prior to the event. Tshirts are on a first come, first serve basis and size is not guaranteed. Our office is located at 1813 Foster Drive, Jacksonville FL 32216 (where the old thrift store was located).

Where is registration? Registration is on the front steps of The Landing.

What’s the difference between a “team” and an “individual”? Teams must consist of at least 4 or more registrants. Each team member must pledge to raise at least $20 for Mutt March.

Do I need to register my dog, myself, or both? Only humans need to register. Dogs and kids under 5 are free.

 

VIP

How do I become an event VIP? VIP is available to anyone who registers prior to January 31st OR any registrants who raises more than $250.

What does VIP include? Event VIPs have access to the private VIP room, which includes a continental breakfast, mimosas, and treats for your pup. The VIP room is indoors which allows for seating and a private rest room.

 

Program

What are the hours? Mutt March is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Event schedule is as follows (and subject to change):

  • 9 a.m. Registration, Silent Auction, Kid Zone, and VIP Open
  • 9:15 a.m. Purina Pro Plan Performance Dog Team performs
  • 10:10 a.m. Awards Ceremony
  • 10:30 a.m. March Begins – start line is on corner of Hogan and Water Street
  • 11:15 a.m. Purina Pro Plan Performance #2
  • 12:00 p.m. Silent Auction closes
  • 1:00 p.m. Event ends

 

Food, Beverage & Restroom

Where can I eat? The Jacksonville Landing has several restaurants that open for lunch and we will not have food trucks or vendors at Mutt March. Please check with individual restaurants about dogs being allowed on patios. Click here for a list.

Is water provided? Water will be provided courtesy of our event sponsors. There will be four water stations along the long route and 2 along the short route.

Where are public restrooms located? The Landing has public restrooms inside the facility near the escalators.

Are dog waste bags provided? We do our best to provide as many poop bags as possible but encourage you to bring your own. Please – scoop the poop!

 

TShirts

How do I get a tshirt? Tshirts are awarded to anyone who raises a total of $50 including your registration fee. So, if you paid $30 to register, you must raise or donate an additional $20 to receive a Mutt March tshirt. Note: T-SHIRTS ARE GIVEN WHILE SUPPLIES LAST AND SIZES ARE NOT GUARANTEED. If you have your heart set on a shirt, we encourage you to pick up your shirt before Mutt March.

Emergencies and Safety

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will be on-site for the duration of Mutt March. For pet emergencies, we cannot guarantee that a veterinary will be available to assist and recommend that any pet facing a life-threatening situation leave Mutt March and go directly to an emergency clinic.
