Jacksonville Humane Society teams up with Best Friends Animal Society and Zappos to bring FREE pet adoptions to Jacksonville Thanksgiving weekend

 

Jacksonville, FL (Wednesday, November 23, 2016) The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is partnering with Best Friends Animal Society and Zappos to bring free pet adoptions to Jacksonville this weekend. This “Black Friday Adoption Special” is sponsored in-part by Best Friends Animal Society and Zappos. Adoptions are key to keeping Jacksonville a no kill city.

 

The “Black Friday Adoption Special” is scheduled for Friday, November 25th, Saturday, November 26th, Sunday, November 27th and Monday, November 28th at the JHS location, 8464 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville. The hours for this event are Friday – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday – 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The event will feature a variety of adoptable dogs, cats, and kittens from the Jacksonville Humane Society. Pet adoption fees are $0 and all pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Adopters looking for small dogs, puppies and kittens are encouraged to arrive early. A $20 city license fee may apply.

 

“JHS is very thankful for the support from Best Friends Animal Society and Zappos for helping homeless animals find loving homes by providing free adoptions in Jacksonville,” said Denise Deisler, executive director of the Jacksonville Humane Society. “Events like these are a great way to save lives and to find families for pets just in time for the holidays!”
