Mend a Friend
The Jacksonville Humane Society has created a special fund appropriately named “Mend a Friend” where donations can be made specifically to those animals that enter our shelter needing special medical care treatment.
With the wonderful healthcare provided by our clinic staff, shelter staff, and volunteers we have treated more than 500 animals for heartworm disease, mange, parvovirus, various eye problems, fractured limbs, and other injuries. Due to limited space and expenses, we unfortunately cannot provide treatment for all the animals coming into the shelter.
The Jacksonville Humane Society exists to help the animals. “We do it for them” and we couldn’t take care of thousands of animals every year without your constant support. Our “Mend a Friend” fund is just another way that you can continue to help our four-legged friends.
The “Mend a Friend” fund has continued to help save the lives of homeless animals such as these. Without this emergency fund, these animals could not have received the life-saving medical treatments they so desperately needed!
If you’re interested in making a donation, please call (904) 725-8766 for more information.
