Private Obedience Training
The Jacksonville Humane Society’s private training program employs the use of operant
conditioning, classical conditioning and relationship education. Our programs prohibit techniques
that cause pain or fear for the dogs (no choke chains or pinch collars). We set up each training
situation for errorless learning.
We like to say, “Cooperation, not domination.” As a JHS client,
you’ll learn to establish appropriate behavior in your pet with reward-based training. We’ll teach
you how to communicate your leadership and how to discourage inappropriate behavior.
