April Pets of the Month: Harlem and Katy

HARLEM

Harlem is an adventurous, playful pup who loves spending time with people of all ages and other dogs. His hobbies include cuddling, fetch, exploring the great outdoors, and sitting for treats.

Harlem’s adoption fee is sponsored by the Dolly’s Dream Foundation, and he will go home with an easy walk harness, leash, collar, bandana, and dog training in a group class at JHS at no cost to you.

If you’d like to meet Harlem, stop by JHS at 8464 Beach Blvd. We’re open 7 days a week!

KATY

Update: Adopted!

Katy has been in the shelter system for over 200 days and would love to find a home soon…could you be “the one”? Katy’s foster mom describes her as “the sweetest lap cat in the world” and says that “she loves her humans and loves getting to know new people as long as they give her scratches in the right places.” (Psst…we hear favorite place to be scratched is under her chin!)

To learn more about Katy and follow her journey to adoption, check out her foster mom’s Instagram at @6moms1cat.

Katy’s adoption is sponsored.

Katy is currently in a Promote-a-Pet foster home. If you’d like to meet her, please reach out to our Behavior team at behavior@jaxhumane.org or 904-493-4586.

JEWEL

Update: Adopted!

Jewel has been at JHS for over 100 days. She’s a smart, fun-loving pup who is housetrained and already knows some basic commands like “sit,” “shake,” and “down.” Her favorite activities include sampling new flavors of Pup-Peroni, going for long walks, and playing with toys – especially tennis balls!

Jewel’s adoption is sponsored.

If you’d like to meet Jewel, stop by JHS at 8464 Beach Blvd. We’re open 7 days a week!
