February Pets of the Month: Ricky + Cat Cat

RICKY

Update: Adopted!

Ricky has been in the shelter system for nearly 300 days. If he looks familiar, it may be because you’ve spotted him around town on some Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards! Ricky isn’t letting the fame get to his head, though. Yes, being in the spotlight is cool, but he’d much rather be in a home – preferably one in which he can receive daily butt scratches and plenty of bacon treats.

Ricky is a playful, fun pup whose hobbies include swimming, tug-of-war, going for car rides, cuddling, and eating all the snacks. He likes goofing around with other dogs and loves hanging out with people, including kids.

Ricky is currently in a Promote-a-Pet foster home. If you’d like to meet him, please reach out to our Behavior team at behavior@jaxhumane.org or 904-493-4586.

CAT CAT

Update: Adopted!

Cat Cat: the cat so nice, we named her twice! Cat Cat has been at JHS longer than any other feline, and we’re not sure why. She loves head pets, tuna-flavored treats, and snoozing in the sun (or in your lap). And have you ever seen such majestic fluff? Cat Cat’s beauty has inspired music, poetry, and even art – like the painting pictured above, created by one of her many admirers. If you adopt Cat Cat, you’ll also get to bring her portrait home!

Cat Cat – who was described by a foster parent as “part snugglebug, part diva” – gets along well with other cats and enjoy spending time with people of all ages. She was a favorite of the JHS summer campers last year.

Cat Cat is currently in a Promote-a-Pet foster home. If you’d like to meet her, please reach out to our Behavior team at behavior@jaxhumane.org or 904-493-4586.
