May Pets of the Month: Layla and Maggie

LAYLA

Update: Adopted!

Layla’s foster family says she’s a super sweet, affectionate dog who enjoys walking in the park, playing ball, chilling at outdoor cafés, and going on car rides. She even knows basic commands like sit, shake, and down – impressive, right?

Layla is currently in a Promote-a-Pet foster home. If you’d like to meet her, please reach out to our team at events@jaxhumane.org or 904-493-4586. Her adoption is sponsored.

MAGGIE

Update: Adopted!

Maggie is a sweet, quiet cat who can be a little shy until she gets to know you. She likes playing with string, receiving head scratches, and taking plenty of naps in the sun. Maggie has been in the shelter system for almost 200 days and would love to find a home soon.

Want to meet Maggie? You’ll find her chilling with her feline roommates in Group Room 1 in the JHS Adoption Center.

CRICKET

Update: Adopted!

Cricket is a curious, social feline who enjoys spending time with people as well as his feline friends. Our Spring Break campers were big fans of Cricket and described him as “a friendly, laid back cat who likes it when you pet him.”

Cricket’s hobbies include begging for chin rubs, napping in his favorite cat bed, rolling around in catnip, and exploring. He recently participated in a Cat Yoga event at JHS and had a blast practicing his moves.

Want to meet Cricket? You can find him in a group room in the JHS Adoption Center! His adoption is sponsored.
