In order to help keep our community safe, we made the decision to cancel our annual fundraiser, Toast to the Animals, benefitting the JHS Medical Fund. Though this event is canceled, the animals are still counting on your support.

You can choose from various party kits, bringing Toast right to your home!

Party Kits will include: Tito’s Handmade Vodka or Bold City Brewery Duke’s Cold Nose Brown Ale (non-alcoholic option available as well), Pepsi products, tasty snacks provided by SmartBox, JHS koozies, and more!

When you donate for your party kit, you are helping JHS save a homeless pet’s life. “Raise the woof” while making a difference for animals in need!

Party Kit pickup will be available Wednesday, October 14th – Friday, October 16th, between 12:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the JHS Adoption and Education Entrance.

The Pet Help Center will remain open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday - Sunday, by appointment only.

Generosity Breeds Joy Day – Kenneled for a Cause

Join us as we celebrate our 3-year anniversary on November 9, 2020, with a day of giving and help us reach our fundraising goal of $25,000 for the JHS Medical Fund!

For the first time ever, we’re inviting the public to be "Kenneled for a Cause".

Kenneled for a Cause participants will be placed inside dog kennels and cat rooms for 90-minute shifts and must take to Facebook to fundraise their way out!

During your 90-minute shift, you can encourage your friends, family, neighbors, acquaintances, etc., to donate to help you reach your goal! We suggest setting a goal of $1,500, but there is no minimum fundraising requirement.

All participants must wear face masks or coverings at all times.

Registrants must be 18-years-old. Children 12 years of age and up may participate with an adult, but due to space limitations, only 1 child may participate with 1 adult.

Participants must create a Facebook fundraiser for JHS. Upon registering, participants will receive additional details and Facebook fundraising instructions via email.

Join us for our Clear the Shelters Adoption Event on August 28th – 30th for FREE adoptions for all pets at JHS and ACPS! Help JHS #ClearTheShelters in this nationwide pet adoption drive that helps find loving homes for animals in need.

In an effort to minimize the impact of COVID-19 in our community, we’re excited to share that our Mutt March pet walk and festival will be moving online this year. Look out world, we’re taking over the internet!

During our virtual Mutt March, you can walk your pup around your neighborhood (or cuddle the cat from your couch!) and participate in all the festivities via Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, Twitter and the JHS website on April 11th with hundreds of other pet enthusiasts.
