Jacksonville Humane Society Open For Lost and Found Today 12-4

Jacksonville, FL (Saturday, October 8th 2016) The Jacksonville Humane Society is open today with a limited crew for lost and found pets only. Members of the public who find stray dogs or cats can bring them to 8464 Beach Blvd. today from 12-4 pm. Due to limited staff and power, we cannot take in any medical cases at this time. Normal business hours and operations will resume tomorrow, Sunday, October 9th.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, all of the adoptable pets at JHS were fostered by loving families during Hurricane Matthew for our “Storm Trooper” program. Storm Trooper pets will be welcomed back tomorrow, and foster families are also welcome to adopt.

“JHS continues to be blessed by the generosity of our community, both in every day operations and in times of great need,” said Denise Deisler, executive director of the Jacksonville Humane Society. “With their compassion, we can weather any storm.”

For any questions please visit the JHS website, jaxhumane.org, or message our Facebook. Due to high call volume and limited staff, phone calls are not available at this time.
