The Jacksonville Humane Society establishes young professionals group

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (November 9, 2009) – The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) has launched a young professionals group. The organization, called the Pawfessionals, is committed to supporting the educational and fundraising efforts of the Jacksonville Humane Society through social and charitable experiences.

“I am excited to be a part of this great new group,” said Alayna Oram, Pawfessionals president. “This organization gives me the opportunity to network with fellow young professionals while pursuing my passion of helping homeless animals. Our motto, ‘Give, teach, play’ exemplifies the experience we gain through participation in the Pawfessionals.”

Professionals aged 21 to 45 years old are eligible for membership in the Pawfessionals. Membership dues are $25 per person or $40 for a couple. Benefits of membership include:

The Pawfessionals are planning their first social at the Burrito Gallery in downtown Jacksonville from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 18. Members can attend the social for free.
